First opened in December 1888 by Captain Joseph Springall, the hotel has a long and proud history. Various buildings have been built, at least one burned down, but most were demolished to make way for newer premises. The most recent demolition took place in 1999, which then made way for the ‘Sur Mer’ complex, comprising residential and tourist apartments, along with Northies on the ground floor.
The new Hotel opened in November 2000, and each year it’s popularity has grown significantly.
The Sports Bar and TAB caters for the most avid punter, along with it’s own beer garden and weekly entertainment schedule.
Mango Jam offers innovative and imaginative cuisine, along with traditional pub fare, alongside a modern bar containing extensive wine and cocktail lists.
The Northies Bar has a seven day entertainment line up including trivia, karaoke, and an awesome party atmosphere on the weekends.
